Professional Electrical Contractors (PEC) is accepting resumes for Foreman. PEC is a 40 year, Massachusetts based commercial electrical contractor with our corporate office being locate in Canton, MA. Our work involves - Retail, Academic, Healthcare, Renewable Energy, Fire Alarm & Large PV projects.
Primary Function:
Install and repair electrical wirings, equipment, fixtures and other miscellaneous electrical items in an effort to minimize waste of material, avoid unsightly, hazardous and unreliable wiring, provide access for future installations, consistent with the job specifications as well as local and national electrical code. It is through the Foreman's efforts of effectively working crews, organizing work and scheduling subcontractors' activities to work in unity with each other, that maximum profits and customer satisfaction are attained.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- The ability to thoroughly understand and follow all plans and specifications in the construction of projects in all aspects of the electrical business
- Thorough knowledge of construction techniques and the imagination to derive the most efficient way of completing a task and the foresight to predict problems before they develop
- A conscientious attitude towards controlling job costs and adhering to progress schedules
- Ability to use scissor lifts, Hilti guns and oversee all aspects of job layout and pre-fab to achieve maximum results
- Responsible for personal growth and advancement and also encouraging the growth of the field personnel
- Ability to perform DLA sheets along with 3-week look ahead
- Ability to use a computer for Outlook, Excel, Word and the Internet
- Review associates in a timely manner when paperwork is received
- Maintain a high standard of quality control at all times
- Maintain inventory control over tools and equipment, ascertaining that movable tools are returned promptly and all other equipment adequately secured
- Maintain good relationships with inspectors, general contractors, subcontractors and other key people connected with the project
- Promote associate morale - be a team builder
- Maintain close communication with Project Manager and Supervisor on any unforeseen problems that may develop
- Responsible for continuing education and training / advancement classes
- Maintain the highest level of customer service and customer satisfaction at all times
- Maintain a photo library for each jobsite and have available for the end of the job
- Have and wear proper attire and ensure crew has proper attire (i.e. boots, hardhat, safety glasses & gloves)
- Follow and enforce all PEC policies per the Company Handbook
- Read, understand, follow and enforce all safety policies (PEC, OSHA, GC's)
- Have acquired a minimum of 8 years field experience
- Maintain 15 hour code update certificate
- 6 hours of related instruction
- Have three out of the six Electrical Journeyman licenses in the New England states (not including home state)
