Foreman trainee/ Shop Assistant

• Prior experience working sheet-metal/equipment or related
• Ability to read blueprints good at fractions math
• Excellent communication in the English language
• Experience with hand tools, drill presses, and any machine shop background is a plus
• 2+ years experience desired in a sheet-metal or metals-related manufacturing type company preferred
• vocational or text school and machine shop or metals-related training a plus
• Management qualities: ability to supervise in the future, able to get along well as a team player and leader
• Career-minded, long-term employment mentality (we're looking for someone looking to work as a foreman and more in the future).
Training working in the production department
The candidate we seek is expected to learn the business from the ground up.
During training, it can take between six months to one year. You are expected.
I want to work as a production worker and learn different training in different areas.
And know all facets of the manufacturing process. This will entail learning how the different assembly procedures progress in other departments. During this period, you will be a hands-on production worker and expected to understand the various processes involved in manufacturing our client's products satisfactorily. The incumbent will not take over any supervisory leadership qualities during the process.
Of this training. However, as you progress, depending on your ability to learn and simulate, you may be called on to assist the Plant supervisor in learning more about the functions until the time comes to help him run the plant. This will be by the progress of training that you demonstrate and the ability to learn the various duties and responsibilities and the nature of the production environment.
