Job Overview

You will be heavily involved and assist with troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repairs of all industrial equipment and machinery. Responsible You will also be for assisting with the general maintenance of plant facilities such as buildings, ground etc.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs plant equipment & machines such as forklift engines (both diesel &LPG), transmissions, hydraulics lathes, forging equipment among others (70% of the work load)
• Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoist, cranes, hand tools, and power tools
• Repairs or replaces defective parts
• Perform routine maintenance, lubricate and clean parts
• Adjust / calibrate functional parts of devices and control instruments
• May perform reasonably similar or related duties, as assigned.
• Must be able to work on AC compressors, furnaces, hammers, and big band saws
• Must be able to change out electric motors, pumps
• Welding and fabricating is a plus
• Some electrical experience is a plus (480 V 3PH, 120-208V 3 PH) and single phase with the ability to use tools like multimeters and troubleshooting circuits/test electric motors.
• Performs general maintenance of plant facilities such as buildings, grounds, carpentry, and plumbing

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of industrial machine/equipment maintenance - Maintenance and Repair of Industrial Machinery and preferably, forklift maintenance & repair as well
• Must be able to operate a forklift and lifting devices
• Must be able to follow instructions and have the ability to manage a range of priorities
• Must possess knowledge of plant equipment, utilities, buildings, and grounds
• Must be able to communicate both in writing and orally as it relates to the job
• Must be able to legally work in the US and have necessary government issued documents
