Forklift Operator - 3rd Shift
Hours: Friday - Monday 7:30pm - 6:00am (fulltime) + overtime
Starting Wage: $17.50/hour
Job Summary: The Reach Truck/Order Picker (RTOP) Operator in Training works alongside an approved trainer in order to learn the proper skills, techniques and procedures required to safely operate Forklifts, Reach Trucks and Order Pickers within the Distribution Center. A RTOP Operator in Training typically promotes to RTOP Operator after successfully completing all requirements in a four-week training program and will then be responsible for stocking and retrieving merchandise using the various types of trucks at the facility.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
· Standard Operating Procedures:
· Understands and follows standard operating procedures and commits to achieving individual tasks in order to achieve overall team goals.
· Communicates safety and job related issues to the leadership team.
· Performs daily visual and operational inspection of trucks.
· Reach Truck Operator:
· Uses the Reach Truck to locates pallets of merchandise in push-back racks and delivers pallets to Shipping department.
· Retrieves pallets of merchandise from Shipping department and stocks merchandise in push-back racks.
· Uses hand-held scanner to accurately locate and stock merchandise.
· Order Picker Operator:
· Locates cases of merchandise in high-bay racks and quick-pick racks and manually places product on conveyor.
· Manually retrieves cases of merchandise from Reserve Storage department and stocks cases in high-bay racks and quick-pick racks.
· Uses hand-held scanner to accurately locate and stock merchandise.

Requirements:
The job operates in a distribution center/warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures based on outside weather conditions, equipment noises, and flashing notification lights.
This role routinely uses standard equipment such as a scanner, conveyor, pallet jack, box cutter, tape gun, and shears.
- Ability to communicate with leadership and other associates.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Frequent periods of bending, squatting, reaching, and twisting to place or obtain merchandise.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 30 pounds continuously.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions including push/pull with arms and grasping with fingers and hands continuously.
- Ability to work at heights up to 24 feet.
- Ability to view and read shoe sizes, colors, labels, and scanners.
