Forklift Operator - Spherion

A forklift operator, also known as a material handler, is responsible for moving materials around a warehouse or manufacturing facility using a forklift.

Responsibilities:
Loading and unloading
Moving goods, pallets, and equipment onto and off of trailers, and to and from designated areas
Stacking
Stacking loads in the correct storage bays, following inventory-control instructions
Maintaining equipment
Inspecting machinery for faults or damages, and performing regular maintenance
Safety
Ensuring that forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions, and keeping up to date on health and safety requirements
Documentation
Completing forms and handling documentation, and maintaining accurate production records
Communication
Using radio communications to determine priorities

Working hours: 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Skills:
Ability to read and understand packaging, shipping documents, and safety guidelines
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail
Working knowledge of basic tools and vehicle maintenance

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
Prior experience.
