Job Description:
As a Form Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in the construction process by building and installing wooden forms that shape and support concrete structures. Your expertise will ensure that our projects are executed with precision, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formwork Construction: Construct, erect, and install wooden or metal forms for concrete foundations, walls, columns, and other structures according to blueprints and specifications.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to determine formwork specifications and material requirements.
- Measurement and Layout: Accurately measure and mark cutting lines on materials, ensuring precise layout for formwork placement.
- Material Selection: Select appropriate materials for formwork, ensuring quality and suitability for the specific job requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work performed and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Maintenance:Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and report any issues promptly.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a carpenter, with a focus on formwork and concrete construction.
- Skills: Proficient in using hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and measuring devices.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of carpentry techniques, materials, and the construction process.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
