This is a Hybrid role, working onsite at our Corporate office Tuesdays and Wednesdays (days can fluctuate)
The FP&A Analyst is an integral part of the Corporate Operations Financial Planning & Analysis team. The team is responsible for consolidating and driving financial planning, investment analysis, and performance analysis excellence across Manufacturing Operations at Cornerstone Building Brands. This is accomplished through the establishment and execution of standard organizational policies and procedures and Business Unit & Plant support.
This position reports directly to the Corporate Director of Finance Operations and serves as a primary strategic partner to both the Operations Center of Excellence, Business Unit Finance/Operations, and Corporate FP&A teams. A capacity for large scale data management and continuous improvement, including the enhancement of automation and reporting is essential to the success of this position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consolidation and reporting of capital spend. Work cross functionally with business unit accounting and finance teams on system management and transactional spend reconciliations
- Streamline and enhance capital project post completion audit and return on investment analysis
- Lead and report ongoing efforts in linking and measuring cost savings associated with strategic capital spend projects
- Assist in the creation and consolidation of monthly forecasts and annual budgets for Capital Spend
- Consolidate data from multiple sources in multiple formats for consistency and accurate reporting
- Support regular and ongoing decision making through strong financial analysis, modeling, and interpretation
- Prepare relevant and valuable ad hoc analysis to support business decisions
- Enhance business processes and influence best practices within FP&A areas to improve information flow and decision making
- Participate in special projects throughout the organization
- BS in Finance/Accounting related field required
- 3+ years of progressive finance experience
- Strong technical acumen specifically in MS Office Suite (intermediate to advanced Excel) with ability to automate and streamline financial information
- Strong modeling techniques and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to find solutions without specific step-by-step instructions
- Exhibits strong time management skills; able to work through roadblocks to meet commitments timely
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads under pressure in an ambiguous environment
- Experience manipulating complex and large data sources and ability to adapt to new systems and applications quickly
