As a Framing Carpenter, you will play a vital role in constructing and assembling the structural framework of buildings according to project specifications and plans. - Frame Construction: Build, erect, and install structural framework, including walls, floors, and roof systems, according to blueprints, specifications, and building codes.
- Precision Work: Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate construction.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment, wearing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to OSHA guidelines.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect work for conformance with project plans and specifications, ensuring that all framing is done to the highest standards of quality.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Foreman and other team members to ensure smooth workflow, efficient use of materials, and timely completion of projects.
- Problem Solving: Address any issues that arise on-site promptly and effectively, contributing to the overall success of the project.
- Site Preparation and Cleanup: Assist in preparing job sites for framing, including setting up equipment and cleaning up after completion to maintain a tidy work area.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in framing carpentry or a related field.
- Skills: Proficiency in using hand and power tools, with a strong understanding of framing techniques and construction practices.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with reading blueprints and interpreting construction plans.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Dependability: Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with crew members and supervisors.
