Strategy & Operations Sr. Associate - Parcel Fraud Remote Position About the Team The Fraud team is looking for a Strategy & Operations Sr. Associate to reduce the cost of fraud and build solutions to protect our platform from would-be fraudsters.
- Communication Strategy
- Proactively Communicate with Fraud Ops and S&O stakeholders on fraud metrics and recommended actions, new discoveries and overall health of one of the platform’s biggest bets based on Market and Runner Cohort
- Spearhead weekly meetings with our newly launched Anomaly detection pod and S&O partners to discuss and align on next steps based on insights
- Manage feedback loop from anomaly detection pod and unblock issues that prevents team from performing tasks adequately Process Strategy
- Develop clear guidelines, policy and standards for our new anomaly detection pod to ensure consistent clarity on review and action process as well as expectations for team
- Responsible for proactively and continuously improving and updating existing fraud rules, detection mechanisms and signals based on insights, new discoveries and feedback from Anomaly detection insights and S&O team. Analytical/Problem Solving Strategy
- Proactively identify fraud related pain points, issues through data monitoring and analysis and propose short term and long term solutions to address
- Investigate medium to large data sets using Google sheet, Excel or SQL to identify trends/patterns that can be leveraged to develop meaningful insights
- Consumers, Dashers and Merchants, and become a point person for understanding user behavior that suggests fraud. You'll investigate cases of fraud and brainstorm and implement solutions to reduce fraud in the long-term.
- Most importantly, you'll help promote the delicate balance between providing our users the best experience possible while keeping bad actors at bay.
- Best Sr. Associates are data-driven, truth seeking, strategic thought partners and operators. They combine business context and analytics to take on a problem area and implement a customized solution.
- Establish and refine DoorDash's strategic approach to fraud - work on the operations, engineering, and analytics needed to protect DoorDash’s audiences from bad actors
- Identify new fraud vectors across DoorDash's platform – complete end-to-end analysis that allows us to better identify the bad actors on our platform and improve the experience of good users
- Influence and engage across the company - partner with the product, engineering, and analytics teams to establish goals and build strategic programs
- Improve through experimentation – use data-driven decision-making to run tests in order to reduce fraud while accelerating growth .
- You have 3+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, business development, operations, technology, investment banking, analytics or related experience
- You are a project manager and excel when working in a team environment.
- You have a natural ability to drive alignment with cross functional partners, hit goals, and de-risk projects when there are dependencies
- You are a strong communicator, both written and verbal and can synthesize insights to develop strategies
- You are a problem solver; your analytical skills allow you to identify root causes and problems that others may not see; you are proficient in SQL and have expertise in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets/sheets)
- Basic proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets or SQL [mandatory]
- Basic Need: Understand excel formulas, data entry
- Comfortable w/ Pivot Tables, cleaning data
- Ability to be comfortable in a fast-paced environment [making quick decisions, escalating issues]
- Strong project management, organization and communication skills.
- Should be detail oriented!
