Position Overview:
We are looking to add a customer-focused team member to our dock staff! Freedom Boat Club is the nation’s oldest and largest private member boat club, and we are looking for friendly and upbeat individuals to greet members and work on the docks. This position is full-time and requires availability on weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Essential Functions:
+ Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
+ Anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
+ Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
+ Make and answer telephone calls using appropriate etiquette.
+ Manage the check-in and check-out process using a handheld tablet.
+ Perform equipment checks to make sure all necessary equipment is on board.
+ Clean and maintain vessels and Club location according to company standards.
+ Perform Daily clerical work to prepare reservation logs, fuel logs, and weather reports.
+ Familiarize yourself with local waters in order to provide basic guidance to members.
+ Speak with others using clear and professional language.
+ Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
+ Follow all company policies and procedures.
+ Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
+ Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
+ Work outside in the state’s elements and stand for an extended period of time.
+ Anything else needed or asked upon
Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.
Required Qualifications:
+ Valid driver’s license and clear MVR record meeting company standards
+ At least 18 years of age
+ Experience in or around boats
+ Strong communication and customer service skills
+ Ability to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity
+ Ability to read and manipulate handheld tablets
+ Positive, cooperative attitude with the capability of working unsupervised
+ Adhere to all safety policies
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Boater’s Safety License
Working Conditions:
+ Comfortable with physical demands of the role including bending, kneeling, balancing and carrying equipment up to 25 pounds
+ Working Outdoors in the elements
+ Standing and walking for long periods of time
+ Able to get in and out of boats safely and frequently

Clarks Hill Marina is located on Clark Hills Lake in Appling, Georgia. Whether you remember us as Little River Marina and Resort or Thurmond Marina – everything here revolves around sharing our love of the water with others. Several years ago, Classic City Marinas purchased this aging marina and pumped new life into it. Since that date, we have completed our installation of the newest dock systems on the lake, dry storage for your vessel, and we have installed an all-new fuel dock. You will be greeted by a friendly face next time you fuel up at the full-service fuel dock! Whether you are looking for your first family boat or are ready for an upgrade, we proudly offer new and used boat sales with world-class brands like Ranger, Triton, and Monterey. Don’t forget we also have Ascend Kayaks, and Tracker Off Road Vehicles. Clarks Hill Marina has also opened a new service center with Certified Technicians on staff. If you do not boat on Clarks Hill Lake, you can still enjoy the lake by renting one of our brand-new rental boats, or you can join Freedom Boat Club to have unlimited access to our fleet and other locations around the country and abroad.
