Note: Dry WH temps range from 40-80 degrees by season, Perishable WH is 29-53 in the cooler, and -10 to 0 degrees in the freezer
Basic math and reading skills are needed in all positions
Receiver/Stocker with Forklift (Dry or Perishable Warehouse)
As a receiver, will take products being delivered by the pallet load and put them into their designated locations using a forklift. Will need to be observant of order selectors who are quickly filling orders and work around them. May also need to pull pallets from the higher selves down to floor level for the stockers which will require physically moving product. Will need to pull the product still there out, pull down the new pallet, and then stock the remaining items from the previous pallet on the top of the new pallet that you brought down. The goal is for the pickers to never have to wait to pick a needed item. As a stocker, you may put some products away from late deliveries, but the primary focus will involve pulling products for the pickers, so will do more manual labor. Products that you will move will generally weight 10-50lbs, but will occasionally weigh up to 100lbs.

Order Selector with Pallet Jack (Dry or Perishable Warehouse)
This job involves a lot of moving through the warehouse with a pallet jack, and repetitive lifting for about 80% of the shift where you generally lift products that weigh 10-50 lbs, and on rare occasions lift up to 100 lbs. Will pick products as dictated by a pick list using a headset which gives special instructions on what aisle to go to, which slot to select from and the # of cases or products to pick. After you have picked everything for that order slip, you will then move all items onto a pallet for shipping, following food safety and weight rules to keep products safe and from getting smashed.

Repack (includes Candy, Tobacco, C-Store sections)
Will typically be assigned to one of the three RePack areas, but may float to the other areas as needed. Selects customer orders from pick slots using pick lists of assorted items to build orders according customer order. This involves labeling the selected cases with the order labels and using a voice automated picking system. Validates that correct product has been selected and is damage free. Requires repetitive lifting for 80-90% of the shift doing medium level lifting (regularly lifting 10-20lbs, and occasionally lifting up to 50lb).

Dock Worker/Loader (works on the dock of either warehouse)
This position is responsible for following a truck builder map to correctly place pallets into the trailer of a semi to minimize the time it takes the truck delivery driver to get to the correct pallet for their stop schedule. Incorrect placement could cause the driver a lot of unnecessary work and make the driver late for subsequent stops which can cause customer dissatisfaction. Will include staging pallets on the dock and then moving onto the trailer using a palletjack and manually moving boxes. There is administrative functions with recording temperatures, taking a picture of the load for records, and notifying the shag driver that the load is complete. Need to be able to regularly lift up to 25lbs.
