Dual Role: PT Front Desk Associate/On-call and PT Sales Coordinator
Requires Outstanding Customer Service and Team Player Attitude!
PART TIME FRONT DESK & ON-CALL position , must be open to flexible scheduling.
Hotel Experience needed, Excellent Customer Service required, English speaking, Willingness to cross- train and be on call. Visual Matrix software nice but not required

Front Desk Duties: Cross Train in Front Desk related role, including Night audit
- Greet, Smile and provide welcoming environment for all guests
- Listen to and be aware of guest preferences and needs- Accommodate whenever possible.
- Communicate, interact and collaborate well with teammates and other departments
- Check guest in and out according to proper procedures.
- Insure proper credit is established for guests upon check in and at time of bucket check.
- Operation of Visual Matrix management system and properly posting all charges to guest and desk folios.
- Responsible for handling cash, credit card and transactions according to procedure.
- Basic knowledge in taking or changing a reservation in the terminal.
- Operation of PBX system
- VIP's are handled properly.
- Insure policy for safe deposit box.
- Be aware of walk procedures.
- Perform additional duties as required by management.
- Keep current count maintained and balance with reservations.
- Make sure bucket check is kept current at all times.
- Insure daily reservations are blocked as necessary.
- Use selective selling in order to maximize revenue.
- Read Sales Group List daily to familiarize yourself with in coming/out going groups.
- Read Hacienda Hotel updates daily to familiarize yourself with banquet/meeting room functions.
- Read Log Book/MOD Report/Email daily to familiarize yourself with activities of prior shifts.
- Must been neat and personable.
Reservation Duties:
- Process all guest reservations and confirmation
- Process cancellations, revisions and information up-dates or changes.
- Assist reservation manager in handling group bookings and conventions.
- Answer letters, phone calls and take/give messages.
- Pre-block groups reservation effectively.
- Perform additional duties as required by management.pt
PT SALES COORDINATOR ROLE
The Sales Coordinator position is the Axis of a successful Sales team. As a growing 200 room hotel in the heart of San Diego this position includes organizing & assisting with group sales and events from the close of the contract through the close of the invoicing; including guest follow up. In this position you may also attend and oversee events, both onsite and off. At this point in time this is a part-time position with the intent of growing to full-time for the right person.
Requirements:
- English speaking
- 2 consecutive years Hotel experience - Front Desk and/or Sales
- Firm grasp of the hospitality industry
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Detail Oriented
- Problem Solver
- Sales Oriented
- Well-spoken - oral and written
- Understands Hotel reservations- back office (Group Sales etc)
- Professional appearance and demeanor
