Duties/Requirements:
- The candidate shall serve as the primary liaison for all incoming contacts to the Office of the Judge Advocate General Front Office.
- Answer incoming calls and inquiries from visitors, using the utmost discretion in screening and referring calls and visitors to the appropriate staff member or attorney.
- Responds to routine and highly technical requests for information such as status reports, suspense dates for matters requiring regulatory compliance, and similar information readily available in files and databases.
- Independently controls and manages all incoming correspondence, OJAG staff actions, and accompanying packages using established OJAG Front Office business rules, procedures, and/or organization knowledge, which includes scanning all paper files into electronic files, developing files, or staff actions.
- The candidate shall be responsible for the maintenance of all records and all files, ensuring that they are properly maintained.
- Handle outgoing mail; prepare outgoing mail and shipments; and maintain proper logs. Review outgoing correspondences for compliance with established Navy correspondence manual policy and style.
- The candidate must have a security clearance certificate (Facilities Clearance).
Education and qualifications:
- The desired candidate shall have a high school diploma.
- A BA is preferred but not required.
- The candidate shall have 5-7 years’ experience as an administrative specialist.
- The candidate has to possess a SECRET clearance or higher.
Hours Operation:
- Work on-site, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, during regular operating hours of 0800 to 1630.
