Front Desk Receptionist FT - United Surgical Partners International Inc (USPI)

Roswell Surgery Center: Front Desk Receptionist needed for busy, single-specialty ambulatory surgery center. The Registration Coordinator interfaces with patients and families, physicians and staff; admit patients and process their paperwork; update patient demographics/information in system; collect monies due and document in the billing system; handle funds per office procedure and answer incoming phone calls. Furthermore, in light of the pandemic, this professional will ensure visitors to the center maintain safety protocols as established by the center.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

*Operates telephone system including receiving incoming calls, taking messages, identify nature of business and call.

*Performs clerical duties including distribution of mail and messages, monitoring office supplies, and maintaining postage meter.

*Assist with chart preparation.

*Assist with Admissions. Check in pre-op patients. Copy identification and insurance. Communication with Pre-Op nursing staff.

*Provide relief to Admitting, Office Assistant, and Scheduling as required.

*Ability to provide exceptional customer service and knowledge of insurance verification and calculation of benefits is required.

Required Skills

*High school graduate or equivalent.

*One year previous experience or some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred.

*Must have the skills necessary to operate office equipment that are required to fulfill job duties.

*Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial

*Bilingual preferred.

*Good communication skills.
