Front Desk Receptionist Part Time - Seashore Gardens

RECEPTIONIST JOB DESCRIPTION:

Looking for weekend receptionist for work Saturday and Sunday 2pm to 8pm

Purpose of Your Job Position:

The primary purpose of your job position is to perform clerical support in an efficient manner in accordance with established procedures, and as directed by your supervisor.

Delegation of Authority:

As Receptionist, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Receive and follow reception schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures.

2. Operate telephone system as required.

3. Answer telephone in a pleasant and audible voice; determine nature of call, direct call to appropriate individual or department or take message as necessary. May beep staff if appropriate.

4. Receive request from within the facility; locate personnel, uses the paging system as the last resort in locating personnel.

5. Receive inquiries; release information in accordance with established policies /procedures.

6. Maintain a current file/listing of residents by name and room number, emergency phone members of on-call personnel, department extensions, key personnel, etc.

7. Maintain a current listing of residents in the hospital or out for a visit.

8. Refer calls for residents who can’t receive calls due to their condition to the floor Nurse.

9. Greet visitors and residents with courtesy. Direct to appropriate office and/or resident room.

10. Give directions/information to visitors, guests, residents, contractors, purveyors, etc.

11. Have all above sign in and out as appropriate.

12. Monitor presence and location of sale representatives in the facility.

13. Report suspicious persons/information to supervisor immediately.

14. Assist with administrative duties as directed. (Includes typing, filing, etc.)

15. Receive, sort, and distribute mail as directed.

16. Operate copier, office machines, computers, etc., as directed.

17. Dresses and acts appropriately as a greeter and representative to all that enter the facility.

18. Other related duties and responsibilities that may become necessary or appropriate.
