Website Island LLC is seeking a skilled and creative Front End Drupal Web Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing visually appealing and user-friendly websites using Drupal CMS. This role requires expertise in front-end development, a strong understanding of Drupal theming, and the ability to collaborate with back-end developers and designers.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop responsive, high-quality Drupal themes that align with project requirements and brand guidelines.
- Convert design mockups into functional Drupal themes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Drupal theming layers (Twig, PHP templates).
- Customize and enhance Drupal sites, including implementing new features, modules, and functionalities.
- Collaborate with designers, content creators, and back-end developers to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Optimize websites for speed, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to front-end development, theming, and user experience.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends, tools, and best practices.
- Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to Drupal coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other team members.
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing deadlines and priorities effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in front-end web development with a strong focus on Drupal CMS.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including libraries such as jQuery), and responsive design principles.
- Experience with Drupal theming, including custom themes, Twig, and preprocess functions.
- Familiarity with PHP, MySQL, and Drupal module development is a plus.
- Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles and accessibility standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
