MAG Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled Front End Software Developer SME to join our growing organization in Ft. Liberty, NC!
As our Front End Software Developer SME, you will resolve problems with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast, agile environment. This role is more than just coding. You will use your passion to master new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You will help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies.
Additionally, you will act as a member of a data science and software and application development team, processing open-source information in the creation of data solutions to feed and fulfill critical decision cycles. This position will be key in providing development support to analytical enterprise users in an evolving environment in which innovative technologies are frequently implemented to satisfy commanders’ critical information requirements and desired end-states.

Duties include, but not limited to:
- Analyze, design, code, and test multiple components of application code across one or more clients. Perform maintenance, enhancements, or development work
- Analyze the data needs and requirements of the organization and stakeholders, create data architecture specifications and solutions, comprehend database methodologies
- Design and develop the logical and physical data models, schemas, structures, and relationships for various data sources, including databases, data warehouses, and data event flows
- Provide training and a written user guide for each Tool and user interface that is developed.
- Design all developed capabilities to be made available to other services and applications via Application Programming Interfaces
- Develop all capabilities to make use of native cloud services that are portable to common cloud environments (AWS, C2S, Azure, etc.)
- Communicate development concepts to program management and customer representatives during meetings
- Experience with production of technical papers and technical presentations
- Identify potential roadblocks and develop around them
- Plan and estimate development tasks and work to improve performance metrics
Knowledge and Skills
- 5+ years of experience working in Software Development
- 3+ years of experience with JavaScript web and web tool development
- 3+ years of experience designing and developing tools and systems on a cloud platform, such as EC2, Amazon S3, and Beanstalk and Docker
- 2+ years of experience with Graph Data Structure, Golang, Docker, or Git and Gitlab
- Experience with ReactJS, AngularJS, jQuery, or Bootstrap frameworks.
- Experience with computer languages, including Swift, Objective-C, including Apple Dev, Java, Kotlin, including Android, Python, Splunk, C, C++, C#, CSS/3, Ruby, or Perl
- Experience with sourcing publicly available data or open-source coding, information, and knowledge management support to enable information sharing among analysts and organizations by shaping workflow and processes
- Knowledge of various data analytic and visualization tools both commercial and Government-furnished to discover, store, and retrieve data efficiently and expertly such as, Kitbana D3, ChartJs, Plotly leveraged across multiple operating systems, including Linux, Unbuntu, CentOS, and Windows
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 5+ years of experience in front-end development in lieu of a degree
- Certified in compliance with DoD Cyber Workforce 8570.01 (i.e. Sec+)
Desired Requirements
- Experience with relational and non-relational database modeling, system administration experience, API calling, modularity, and tasking/queueing, containerization, proxies, OpenSSL, security authentication
- Experience collaborating with U.S. Military leadership hierarchies
- Experience in providing Training and support to users on a suite of applications that produce, store, and visualize operational, intelligence, and business data
- Knowledge of to-be-employed tools and how they consume and provide visualization for executive-level decision-making, including process mapping
- Ability to take poorly defined problems and convert them into questions for which practical solutions can be defined
- Ability to pay strict attention to detail
- Ability to communicate technical problems to a broad and executive-level audience
- Python PCEP, PCAP, or PCPP1/2 CertificationsAbility to pay strict attention to detail

- Ability to work in office and lab environment
Other Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizenship
- Must have an Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance

The projected compensation range for this position is $80500 to $149500 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
