Job Description: Glenview area family seeking a dependable and experienced Nanny for two children. Start as soon as possible (but flexible).
Schedule: Guaranteed 51 hours per week. Monday-Wednesday 6:30am –5:30pm, Thursday 6:30am-4:30pm and Friday’s 8:30am-4:30pm. Monday - Wednesday, parents relieve nanny of all childcare duties by 4:30pm so nanny can prepare a very simple family dinner, either reheating prepared food (family has a personal chef service) or from an easy meal kit service (Nanny is welcome to take a serving home for herself!) before the 5:30pm ending of shift.
Compensation: $1,530/Weekly vacation, holidays, sick days

Job Details and Responsibilities:
- Two children: 5-year-old and a 2.5-year-old. The 5-year-old will attend full-time kindergarten and the 2.5-year-old will attend 1/2 day preschool.
- Primary responsibilities are the day-to-day care of the children; transporting to and from school, preparing healthy meals, cleaning up toys, coordinating and monitoring naps, taking the child to parks, zoos, and other planned activities, and providing developmentally appropriate activities.
- Nanny should exude calm, confident energy and be able to hold boundaries positively with two high energy boys.
- Light housekeeping related to the children will be expected: tidying and organizing children’s bedrooms and play areas, child laundry, kitchen clean-up, and keeping track of children’s needs.
- Two days a week, each parent works from home in a separate office space and respects the distance / boundaries needed to maintain children’s schedule and not to interrupt the flow of the day. Nanny should be comfortable with this arrangement.
- The ideal candidate should be flexible to stay with children overnight when parents travel. Nanny will be compensated for additional hours.
- Nanny should have verifiable Nannying experience.
- Has a background in Education or extensive training in Early Childhood Development -or- is well versed in positive parenting principles (not the traditional authoritarian model).
- Nanny is looking for a long-term commitment with a family (family intends to have child/house manager care until children are in their teens).
- Nanny should be active and engaged with the children and enjoy taking the children outdoors as much as possible.
- Nanny should be self-sufficient. Will be able to plan activities and keep track of children’s needs.
- Reliable and communicative. Will make sure to arrive on time each day.
- Enthusiastic with a positive attitude and a calm, confident and unflappable demeanor.
