Schedule
- This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for an RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
- 5 days a week
- 37.5 – 40 hours per week
Respiratory Therapist (RT)
Looking for a FT talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility for a Respiratory Rehab Service Position. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and complete daily caseload, and possess the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities as they relate to cardiac and pulmonary impairments to assist residents improve in their quality of life.
Job Description
- Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non-respiratory illness.
- Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
- Complete a variety of bedside treatments.
- Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
- Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
- Attending applicable IDT meetings.
- Experience with tracheotomy.
- Experience is a long-term care setting
- Follow procedure and protocol of facility.
- Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management.
- Performs related duties as required.

- Oxygen weaning therapy
- Omniflow – Biofeed back
- Group respiratory therapy.
- Standardized respiratory testing.
- Aerosol therapy
- AccuPAP therapy
- Incentive Spirometry
- Chest physiotherapy
- Deep breathing and coughing
- Bronchial hygiene therapy
- PEP therapy
- Postal Drainage
- Positioning
- Oro/Naso-pharyngeal suctioning
- Airway clearance/management techniques
- Trachea-bronchial suctioning
- Tracheostomy care
- Mechanical Ventilator
- Spirometry Bedside Testing
- CPAP/BIPAP
- High-Flow Oxygen
- CHF program
- Cardiac Program
- Pulmonary Program
- Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
- Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.
Salary $ 37 to $45 an hour
