Responsibilities:Our Fuel Desk associates are responsible for answering incoming calls from wash vendors and drivers needing assistance by performing the following duties:
- Issuing wash purchase orders to vendors.
- Assisting drivers to locate local fuel and wash stops.
- Troubleshoot drivers' fuel cards to determine the cause of the issues at a network or non-network stop.
- Answer and transfer incoming calls from main switchboard after hours when receptionists are off duty.
- Processes 300+ phone calls per day.
- Performs related work as required.
- Must have weekend/evening availability
- NOT a remote position
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Knowledge
Basic knowledge of the trucking/transportation industry preferred.
Abilities
Strong organizational, computer, and customer service skills required. Accurate typing up to 40 WPM. Multitasking and a flexible schedule required. Some weekend work will be necessary for this position.
Experience, Education, and Training
Working toward a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University in a Business or related field is preferred; or one to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements
This position requires being able to sit and remain focused and motivated for long periods of time. Being able to multitask between the computer, phone, and different projects is required.
Working Environment
Primarily indoors with heating and cooling regulated in a general office environment. Call volume can be heavy at times.
