WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Fulfillment Supervisor will direct the activities of warehouse personnel involved in the order fulfillment process. In addition, the Fulfillment Supervisor will be tasked with maintaining regular customer contact, anticipating needs, providing regular status reports to our customers, and responding to customer requests and inquiries in a professional and friendly manner. The position should be adept at understanding customer concerns, consulting and coordinating internal resources, and providing timely resolutions to meet the needs of the customers.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties
- Supervises warehouse staff and distributes work assignments for optimal efficiency and quality; maintains a high degree of visibility and access to employees on warehouse floor throughout the shift.
- Maintains strict quality control and safety standards in the fulfillment and packaging of products. Responsible for ensuring that all orders are fulfilled on-time and in-full. Reviews, prioritizes, and organizes orders to be picked and shipped.
- Acts as the go-to and point of contact for all customer inquiries relating to the facility’s fulfillment operations; prepares daily recap of customer’s account status and presents to customer and/or to the account Customer Success Partner (CSP) via phone or email.
- Works with customers to facilitate timely solutions to issues, questions, or requests through regular communication. Effectively communicates with operations, sales, and customers about challenges pertaining to fulfillment deadlines.
- Looks for opportunities for continuous improvement; anticipates and/or identifies issues and proactively communicates’ proposed resolution to customer.
- Manages inventory through knowledge and understanding of the inventory system and problem solves challenges that occur. Oversees the physical storage of products to maintain proper inventory levels, product condition, and accessibility. Supervises inventory control process including but not limited to check-in/check-out, settlement, and inventory reconciliation.
- Implements and maintains a Cycle Count process that all inventory is accurate. Any discrepancies researched and corrective actions put in place to prevent any losses.
- Coordinates with the warehouse manager to manage personnel issues including but not limited to time off approvals, timecard approval, daily and weekly overtime, hiring, and training.
- Develops warehouse employees on all systems, understanding of SOPs, and how to be self-sufficient.
- Performs required administrative tasks; prepares required reports and correspondence.
- Assists warehouse manager with development and implementation of policies and procedures; ensures all established policies and procedures are followed by crew.
- Resolves warehouse-related issues with representatives from other departments throughout the company.
- Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems and cross-trains personnel on those systems.
- Ensures the warehouse is always well organized, clean, and safe. Maintains safety programs and all required safety training for the crew.
- Leads team by example by working safely and can perform duties to warehouse standards. Assists in the fulfillment of orders as needed to meet deadlines.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management, which may include tasks, duties, and project assignments outside of Fulfillment or Operations, in order to meet customer needs and the overall success of our Company.
QUALIFICATIONS
The target hiring range for this role is $66,560 - $70,000. Actual compensation will be dependent on experience and qualifications.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required
- Strong inventory control skills
- Strong customer service and written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices
- Certified on all motorized equipment used in the warehouse.
- Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
- Experience using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Must have a continuous improvement mindset and be willing to adapt and learn
- Basic competence in subordinates’ duties and tasks
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing
- priorities with enthusiasm
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
- Proficient on WMS, MAPPS and other warehouse software
- Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
- Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Bilingual skills a plus
- Ability to understand all safety requirements and cautions
- Ability to perform the physical labor as necessary
Experience:
Two to four years related experience required.
Education:
A High School education or GED; associate degree or bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
