Under general supervision, designs, codes, tests and deploys software in all layers of the development life cycle. Provides the necessary documentation.
Summary:
This position is a part of the FedEx Services IT Express Hub & Sortation Technology organization and supports FedEx Express applications. These applications are critical to hub operations worldwide, revenue recovery, rating, and clearance. Looking for a forward-thinking, innovative, and technology savvy professional who will help develop the next generation of FedEx solutions. The successful candidate will understand emerging technology and how to translate technology into tangible world-class solutions.
The successful candidate will be part of an Agile Scrum Team developing, maintaining and supporting software for any of 14 applications used at FedEx major sortation facilities including hubs, ramps, and stations.
The position may involve any of the following:
- Linux/Unix
- Java, Javascript, J2EE, C/C++
- SpringBoot, Angular JS, Jenkins
- Weblogic, Apache Tomcat
- JMS, Oracle SQL, Web Services
- Cloud-native programming (PCF/Tanzu)
- Cloud-native CICD Pipeline.
- Software development of multi-threaded, scalable and highly available distributed systems
- Supports multiple projects simultaneously
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle
Domicile Information:
This role follows a hybrid schedule, with the expectation of being in the office three days per week in Memphis, TN
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in computer science, engineering, or information systems and/or equivalent.
Minimum Experience
One (1) year work experience in information technology or engineering environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the currentstarting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factorspermitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: US pay range: $5,662.27 - $7,502.51 monthly
