Essential Functions:
We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer with expertise in Python, Django, and PHP to join our dynamic development team.-she successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications and services using a combination of these technologies. As a full stack developer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, architect solutions, and deliver high quality software products that meet our needs.
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications and API's using Python, Django, PHP and other relevant technologies
- Collaborate with front end developers to implement user interfaces and ensure seamless integration between front end and back end components
- Write clean, efficient, and well documented code, following best practices and coding standards
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews to ensure software quality and maintainability
- Optimize application performance and scalability, identifying and addressing bottlenecks and performance issues
- Implement security best practices to protect against common web application vulnerabilities, such as SQL injection, cross0site scripting (XSS), and cross-site request forgery (CSRF)
- Integrate third-party services and API's to enhance application functionality and user experience
- Troubleshoot and debug issues reported by users, providing timely resolutions and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in web development technologies, sharing knowledge and insights with the team
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and practices, suggesting and implementing improvements to streamline workflows and increase productivity
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Full Stack Developer, with expertise in Python, Django, and PHP
- Proficiency in back end development using Python And Django, with experience in building RESTful API's and web services
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles (OOP) and design patterns
- Proficiency in PHP development, including experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony
- Familiarity with database systems such as MS SQL Server, MySQL, etc., including database design and optimization
- Experience in unit testing
- Excellent documentation skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and propose effective solutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications:
- Local government or public sector experience especially public safety (police and fire)
- Experience with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js)
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows (e.g., GitFlow)
