.NET Principal Software Engineer
The Skills You Bring
- You can lead Software engineers encouraging autonomy, mastery and purpose in their work.
- You have strong knowledge in developing .NET/WPF/C# based desktop applications and test automation (MS Unit, NUnit).
- You are comfortable with visual design and rapid prototyping
- You have an awareness of event-based systems, functional programming, technologies such as Scala / Akka / Camel and messaging frameworks such as Kafka and EMS.
- You know, understand and promote Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery engineering practices.
- You demonstrate a test first development approach to developing software and can build or contribute to automated testing frameworks that can detect any anomalies in functionality, performance and integration.
- You can clearly document design options and decisions, and present these in an organized manner to technical as well as non-technical audiences
- You are a strong contributor with a collaborative work style in building, crafting and reviewing code
- You and the engineers you lead will write code that will be used in products and capabilities used by Equity Trading desks in Boston, London and Hong Kong processing billions of dollars' worth of trades
- You will be a key member of the engineering team actively innovating and creatively experimenting so that we may better support business needs
- You bring curiosity and a questioning mind-set to work, asking always about the "why” and the "value” of an activity or task
