Role Overview:
Our expanding Programs Team is currently seeking a dedicated STEAM Instructor to join our organization. We are looking for an individual with a strong teaching background and a deep passion for education. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent instructional skills, the capacity to engage students effectively, and a strong commitment to making a positive impact in the community. This role is divided into thirds, encompassing coaching teachers, developing curriculum, and facilitating instruction, requiring versatility and adaptability. We highly value expertise in STEAM subjects and the ability to cultivate a collaborative and results-oriented learning environment. What you"ll do:
Deliver Instruction (50%)
Lead STEAM-based instruction for students in grades TK-8th
Cultivate a supportive and inclusive classroom culture that inspires curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students while nurturing their passion for STEAM subjects
Curriculum Design (25%)
Research and create curricula of emerging STEAM platforms for TK-2nd
Develop standards-aligned instructional material, coordinate educational content
Provide individualized instructional coaching to one STTF Instructor
Conduct regular classroom observations, providing actionable feedback aligned to agreed-upon goals, job responsibilities, and rubrics
Provides model/demonstration lessons for in-person observation
Create specific coaching goals tailored to teacher needs
Provides reports and progress updates to Director of Instruction
Contributes to middle of year reviews and end of year reviews for coachee
Our ideal candidate will have:
At least 3 years of teaching experience (5+ preferred), with a demonstrated record of exceptional academic outcomes
Training and/or experience in instructional coaching is preferred, but not required
Proven capability in developing effective unit plans and lesson plans
Proficiency in using educational technology and tools, including Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Slides, Docs, and Forms) to enhance teaching and learning experiences
Physical capacity to stand for extended periods and handle teaching materials as needed for an interactive and dynamic classroom environment.
Proof of full vaccination from COVID-19 to ensure the safety and well-being of our school communities
California Multi-Subject Teaching Credential
Experience working with STEAM platforms and kits (grades TK-8th)
Demonstrated ability to self-teach technical concepts.
Demonstrated experience in facilitating student-led classrooms and implementing liberatory educational pedagogy
Starting salary range $75,000-$80,000

$1,200 learning stipend
$250 Monthly Housing Stipend
$150 Wellness Stipend
The pay range for this role is:
70,000 - 80,000 USD per year(HQ)
