Job Summary
Lead and direct the work of Enterprise Applications team including technical and functional resources in the implementation, enhancement, maintenance and support of the JD Edwards Enterprise One system and associated applications, this includes the current implementation of Financials and Procurement, as well as the active implementation projects for Capital Asset Management and Expense Management. Hands on guidance and direction on functional and technical work, including interfaces to other systems. Set priorities, provide communication, and establish relationship with the user community and other IT teams.

Job Summary
Lead and direct the work of Enterprise Applications team including technical and functional resources in the implementation, enhancement, maintenance and support of the JD Edwards Enterprise One system and associated applications, this includes the current implementation of Financials and Procurement, as well as the active implementation projects for Capital Asset Management and Expense Management. Hands on guidance and direction on functional and technical work, including interfaces to other systems. Set priorities, provide communication, and establish relationship with the user community and other IT teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Lead and direct the day-to-day activities of the Enterprise Applications team (full-time and contractor) in supporting the JD Edwards software and its interfaces to other systems and platforms.
- Lead others in JD Edwards functional & technical disciplines by determining priorities, providing coaching and mentoring, and developing application roadmap.
- Develop and maintain system roadmap (both near-term & long-term) that aligns with IT and business objectives which includes JD Edward platform and all associated enterprise applications.
- Develop and deploy strategies for resourcing, demand management, lifecycle management, user engagement, and communication, which facilitate implementation of system roadmap.
- Coordinate architecture changes with the CNC team to ensure cross functional testing and knowledge of system impact.
- Provide guidance and planning for application and tools upgrades.
- Provide JD Edwards development and configuration oversight for both internal and external resources.
- Provide regular status updates to IT leadership regarding team workload, project status, priorities, and issues and roadblocks needing resolution.
- Provide guidance on development best practices, standards, and procedures. Establish these standards where they are lacking.
- Implement and maintain a review process of changes to JD Edwards environment and associated transition to support plans.
- Review and approve specifications for JD Edwards enhancements / changes. Ensure adherence to IT Change Management policies and practices.
- Approve JDE Production changes as required. Evaluate changes for cross-systems impact. Ensure adequate testing has been performed and appropriate transition to support plan is in place.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in the usage of JD Edwards to the user community and work with other IT leadership to present and prioritize those ideas through application roadmap.
- Provide evaluation of feasibility of user requests based on understanding of user requirements for changes or enhancements to the JD Edwards system and related interfaces.
- Develop demand management framework for maintenance, support and small enhancements; provide day-to-day prioritization and guidance bearing in mind longer-term strategies and system maintainability.
- Communicate regularly with the user community, working with IT leadership to set priorities, communicate status, document issues, and manage expectations.
- Provide appropriate level of JD Edwards technical and functional skills training for the IT individuals on the team.
- Ensure that the team provides high level and responsive support to the JDE Support team. Monitor the service desk system to ensure that incidents assigned to the team are addressed in a timely manner. Make provisions for supporting special off-hours periods from time-to-time, such as quarter or year-end close when end-users may need additional technical support.
- Liaison with the CNC team on package builds, security functions, technical system configurations, change management, ESU installation, and infrastructure changes affecting the environment
- Conduct the performance management process with each individual team member, set goals for the upcoming year, evaluate and coach employee performance against those goals.
- And other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in an Information Technology or related discipline.
- 10+ years' experience in JD Edwards, with a focus in the Financial module. Additional experience in the Procurement or CAM modules preferred.
- 5+ years of recent, relevant management experience, including demonstrated experience in Technology, Leadership and Strategic roles outlined above
- Experience managing teams of both full-time employees and onshore/offshore contractors
- Strong understanding of development and design with the ability to transform user requirements to project specifications and to communicate effectively with end users throughout the project.
- Project leadership experience in the areas of functional design, technical design, and technical development.
- Up to 20% domestic travel
