Fund Accountant - ICMA-RC dba MissionSquare Retirement

To assist in optimizing the speed, accuracy, and reconciliation of trades made on behalf of participants and “investment only” clients.  To assist the team in their efforts to achieve and maintain best-in-class investment accounting for guaranteed investment contracts and, for all funds and portfolios, ensure adherence to internal controls compliant with regulatory mandates, internal and outside audit organizations, and contractual obligations.  ScheduledHours:  6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Essential Functions for this role include:

• Prepare, perform, and review all daily funding responsibilities associated with the MissionSquare Model Portfolio and Target Date Funds, Actively Managed MissionSquare Funds, MissionSquare PLUS Fund, and all other applicable funding groups that may apply.
• Monthly processing of Investment Services Product to include the preparation of various support schedules, monthly summary statements, monthly fees by client account, and processing participant benefit payments.
• Assist with the accounting and administration of the VantagePLUS Fund’s guaranteed investment portfolio.
• Assist with the accounting and administration of the stable value separate account products
• Assist in updating and maintaining departmental procedures manual to include daily operating procedures, checklists, contact lists in several databases (CMS & Access database), updating authorized signatures, wiring instructions, and other information.
• Maintain various accounting systems and reconciliations that include the custodian bank, transfer agent and other third-party applications and systems.
• Prepare the “manager bill/custodian charges” package and other related support schedules. Prepare and monitor the annual expense ratios of the Vantagepoint Funds.
• Assist in financial reporting on the MissionSquare Funds
• Other duties as assigned.

If you have the following skills, we encourage you to apply:

• BA/BS or equivalent experience
• One to three years of experience

• Investment accounting and/or Guaranteed Investment contract experience. 

• Some knowledge of financial accounting and internal accounting control requirements.

• Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (particularly Excel)
• Familiarity with GAAP, including its specialized applications in a financial services environment
• Some exposure to deferred compensation plans and qualified pension plans
• Knowledge of securities and portfolio accounting
• Knowledge of Treasury operations and cash management
