Family-owned and operated, funeral home that has been a cornerstone in providing compassionate funeral services to our community. Our client tends to 350 calls annually with a 55% cremation rate and accommodates diverse preferences with care and professionalism. Enjoy a flexible rotating schedule with one weekday off and every other weekend off, promoting flexibility and quality time outside of work. With our dedicated removal team, on-call responsibilities primarily involve answering calls and dispatching the removal team as necessary.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct arrangement conferences with families to help them create meaningful and personalized funeral service plans.
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of funeral services including visitations, ceremonies, and burials, ensuring compliance with family wishes and legal requirements.
- Perform embalming and preparation of deceased individuals for viewing and burial, adhering strictly to health and safety standards.
- Provide compassionate support and guidance to grieving families, maintaining professionalism and empathy throughout interactions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to funeral arrangements and services to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Collaborate effectively with clergy, florists, cemeteries, and other service providers to coordinate logistics and ensure seamless funeral operations.
- Participate in on-call rotations for 4 days per week, ensuring availability to assist families promptly during urgent situations. Removal responsibilities are handled by our dedicated team.
Requirements:
- Valid state Funeral Director/Embalmer license.
- Demonstrated experience in the funeral service industry, showcasing proficiency in funeral arrangements and services.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively and compassionately with families, colleagues, and service providers.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate closely in a supportive work environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of funeral service.
