Job Description:
Full-time Office Manager-Must Have Funeral Home Experience in a new and growing, national funeral business network with a focus on offering direct cremations online. Applicant must have a desire to help others and be sympathetic to families who have suffered a loss. They should have excellent customer service skills; strong verbal and writing skills; the ability to perform under pressure; have a positive attitude; be organized and well-groomed. Bilingual applicants (English/Spanish) preferred. Funeral Home experience preferred. Applicant must have high school diploma or better. Experience working in a service-oriented position and computer skills a must. Applicants required to pass a background check and possess an active driver’s license & clean DMV record.
Job Type: Full-time.
Compensation:
- Starting at $38,000/year, plus.
- $2,000 signing bonus (paid after third month), plus.
- An annual (Holiday) bonus based on performance.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in office setting; funeral home experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized.
- Works cooperatively with other team members, as required.
- Proficient computer skills to enter and retrieve data using multiple systems, and facility with MS Office (Word, Excel) and/or Google Docs & Sheets.
Responsibilities:
- Works from home most days; 8-12 hours per week in office, depending on need. Funeral Home is in Chester, PA, not far from the Philadelphia Airport.
- Places outgoing calls to physicians and state agencies.
- Takes and makes calls from/to prospects and customers (families) regarding funeral/cremation services.
- Learns and utilizes proprietary software to manage customer information and to dispatch drivers when the funeral director is not available.
- Tracks direct cremation jobs from start to finish to ensure the customer is happy, and that all the paperwork has been filed correctly.
- Tracks and forwards invoices of vendors.
- Maintains urns inventory.
- From time to time, may be required to transport cremains and/or urns from one Cremstar facility to another.
