Company Overview: GDIT is seeking a dynamic FUOPS Planner Supervisor with expertise in USCENTCOM operations. This role is pivotal in supporting Cybersecurity and Defensive Cyber Operations for the USCENTCOM Information Technology Services (CITS) Program based in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player ready to tackle challenging assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between CITS contractors and military and government leadership within USCENTCOM and its Service Components, supporting J63 Plans and Exercises.
- Supervise and mentor assigned planners to ensure the team achieves service level agreements and key performance indicators.
- Prepare and present regular reports on team performance, productivity metrics, and other key indicators to upper management.
- Address and resolve any issues that arise within the team or with operations, escalating to management when necessary.
- Create and manage work schedules to optimize productivity and ensure adequate coverage.
- Distribute and update Cybersecurity guidance to USCENTCOM Components, ensuring compliance and clarity.
- Facilitate theater-wide collaboration on Cybersecurity orders, policies, and procedures through various channels, including meetings, video conferencing, and email communications.
- Provide Cybersecurity support to USCENTCOM AOR Network Operations (NETOPS) Centers as needed.
- Review and refine existing Cybersecurity orders and procedures, ensuring they meet current needs.
- Analyze, interpret, and execute Cybersecurity directives across the theater.
- Coordinate theater Cybersecurity risk assessments and participate in relevant missions.
- Monitor current intelligence for potential threats and develop appropriate response strategies.
- Assist in tracking compliance with USCENTCOM orders.
- Document and maintain Cybersecurity orders, policies, and procedures.
- Engage in command mission assurance working groups, conducting analyses for J6 networks and missions.
- Oversee planning and coordination for defensive cyber operations in the theater.
- Recommend technology deployments to enhance defensive cyber operations.
- Develop a comprehensive technology strategy, providing evaluations and decision points for J6 leadership.
- Contribute to command exercise programs and develop Cybersecurity components for all exercises.
- Collaborate in operational planning teams, drafting Cyber annexes for command orders.
- Plan and support the integration of operational communications systems and personnel for USCENTCOM Theater requirements.
- Oversee assigned planners and offer technical expertise and recommendations on USCENTCOM plans, operational orders, and related directives.
- Ensure representation of CCJ6 interests during Operational Planning Teams (OPTs), conferences, and working groups across the USCENTCOM AOR.
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise for the Theater Campaign Plan (TCP), including support for Coalition Partner planning.
- Facilitate coalition interoperability and engagement activities related to Cybersecurity.
- Coordinate with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) technicians to support CENTCOM Partner Network (CPN) requirements.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in planning, installing, integrating, operating, and maintaining complex tactical and garrison communications and IT systems within large network enterprises (PMP or similar certification preferred).
- Familiarity with U.S. Department of Defense, Service, and Joint Task Force communications policies and procedures.
- Strong background in Communications Operations, Planning, and Intelligence.
- Experience briefing senior military and government leaders.
- Significant background in USCENTCOM operations and staff functions.
- Ability to function as both a current and future operations officer.
- Proficiency in installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting Microsoft systems/applications with a focus on cybersecurity best practices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in communication, computer science, engineering, or a related field with at least 9 years of relevant experience; or 13 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Must possess DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security +CE) prior to hire.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in a related field with 7+ years of experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Clearance Requirement:
- Active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
Travel Requirements:
- Up to 10% travel may be required for USCENTCOM Exercise support, including OCONUS travel throughout the year.
The likely salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
