About the Job
The Office Assistant is responsible for assisting the Management staff in performing all duties and functions
required for efficient operation of this apartment community. The person in this position takes direction from
the Regional and/or Site Manager. The individual reports to the Regional Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- -Assists with general clerical duties as assigned including:
- -Answering phones and taking messages for Site Manager and Maintenance
- -Filing
- -Shows units to prospective residents
- -Passing out notices to tenants
- -Data entry in Property Management Software
- -Collecting rent
- -Processing Deposits
- -Other duties as assigned.
- Assists with general maintenance common area upkeep and grounds keeping duties as needed,
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- -General clerical background
- -Excellent communication skills - both oral and written
- -Willingness to learn and follow directions
- -Behavior supports positive work environment.
- -Responsible in dealing with confidential information/situations
People that have been successful in this position in the past have had previous office/clerical experience, a desire to succeed, and a drive to support the common goals of the properties.
-Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

-Must be willing and able to travel between properties in Pierre.
-Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance.
