OVERVIEW
The Ridley college Athletic Department is looking for enthusiastic and capable individuals to time keep and score keep during prep/competitive sport games.
Responsibilities include:
- Be the lead score keeper/timekeeper for scheduled Ridley home games on campus.
- Operate score clock in line with established rules of the game and ability to take instruction from officials/Ridley athletics when required.
- Ensure game sheets are signed off by referees and coaches.
- Ensure that all game statistical information is input correctly without issues.
- Represent Ridley College in a professional and respectful manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Enrolled in a related post-secondary program (Event Management, Sports Management, etc) would be an asset.
- Experience with game day operations withing a sports environment.
- Experience with game clocks, game sheets, and scoring systems related to basketball and hockey.
- Strong understanding of hockey and basketball rules and regulations. (Hockey Canada, OSBA, and CISAA)
- Ability to understand referee signs and signals for certain fouls, penalties, or obstructions.
- Ability to decipher the differences between age group rules. (U12/U14/U16/Prep levels)
