General Accounting Supervisor

In this position….
This position manages assigned employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of employees within the department. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
+ Follows corporate programs in accordance with Ford FM and Ford Internal Control Policies and Guidelines
+ Prepares reports summarizing company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based
+ Provides management with timely reviews of the organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities
+ Responsible for timely month-end closings, including compliance to Ford Finance Manual, GAAP, etc.
+ Prepares reports required by parent company
+ Prepares journal entries with full backup
+ Reconciles balance sheet accounts and performs account analyses
+ Problem solves and identifies process improvements
+ Peer reviews finance personnel's work
+ Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies
+ Other tasks as assigned
You'll have:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
+ Proven experience in accounting, with a minimum of 3-5 years in supervisory role.
+ Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
+ Proficiency in accounting software, SAP preferred, and Microsoft Excel.
+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
