About the Job
The successful candidate must be able to manage the daily activities of 2 -4 supervisors, provide daily direction and technical assistance, quality, cost and schedule job tasks to meet projected budgets as well as promoting and implementing process improvements. The candidate must also be knowledgeable of all nuclear procedures/documents and safety requirements and ensure that they are adhered to by both hourly employees and supervisors.
This position requires a broad-based knowledge of submarine construction processes across all trades. Specifically, the position requires an in-depth knowledge of piping related activities, an understanding of all supporting functions and their responsibilities, and an understanding of EBC’s Planning and Control systems, including ARTEMIS, MRP, SWSS, 7G, EVMS, etc. Additionally, an intimate understanding of construction related procedures and processes is required (SP’s, SSP’s, NSI’s).
Candidate must be willing to work all shifts and overtime as required.
Candidate must have the capability of qualifying and maintaining nuclear qualifications.
Qualifications:Required:
- High School Education or GED
- 2+ years of Supervisory experience in the trades, manufacturing and/or military
- 5+ years of experience in the trades, manufacturing, and/or military
Preferred:
- Pipefitting experience
- 2+ years of experience in Overhaul & Repair / Post Delivery work / New Construction
- RADCON training/experience a plus
- Completion of either FLG, BLG, or CD program
- Nuclear Power requirements knowledge
- The individual who fills this position must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills, and must be able to organize tasks, delegate responsibility, evaluate status and adjust accordingly.
- Experience with Microsoft programs required
- Must be capable of interfacing and communicate effectively with the customer and senior management
