HPM Building Supply in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii is seeking to hire a full-time Lumberyard Specialist to save the day by ensuring that our customers get the materials they need. This position is the first to respond when an order is placed and sets the tone for our customers' experience with us. We work with people who live and breathe building materials, so we need someone that is ready to be the hero they need!

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A LUMBERYARD SPECIALIST
As a Lumberyard Specialist, you assist our customers with their building projects. You promptly greet walk-in customers and answer any questions they have to help them make their purchases. Providing customer-focused service, you take orders, receive payment, and handle returns. When operating a forklift, you carefully build, stage, load, and double-check will-call, delivery, and transfer loads. At the beginning and end of each shift, you walk through your assigned area, tidying up, stocking empty bins, and writing off any damaged inventory.
You put the "zing" in amazing. You're a customer service superhero. When you wear your HPM uniform shirt, you know it's really a cape, and safety is your superpower. You go above and beyond to ensure that our customers have a great experience with us and our warehouse operations run smoothly.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Customer service experience
- Forklift certification or ability to be forklift certified
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work in our outdoor warehouse in various weather conditions
- Ability to be on your feet for several hours at a time and lift 50 lbs
