Job Description:
The Academic Division of General Internal Medicine, Department of Medicine, at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center is seeking a physician to join their team!
About the job:
+ Join a thriving group of 37 physicians and 17 Advanced Practice Providers
+ Practice in one of the few academic multispecialty clinic model institutions in the country with cutting-edge, high-quality care, coordinated under one roof for the benefit of our patients
+ Care for a medically complex population with 30-minute appointments using EPIC EMR
+ Embedded mental health including 3 mental health clinicians and a psychiatrist
+ Integrated clinical pharmacists assisting in diabetic and hypertension care
+ Robust clinical support including 20 RNs, 40 medical assistants, nurse case managers, and 25 medical secretaries
+ Practice located adjacent to the medical center in a beautiful new building with access to pharmacy, phlebotomy, and radiology suites on site
+ Access and protected time to attend high quality weekly medicine grand rounds with CME
+ Integral part of an internal medicine residency, with continuity clinics and opportunity to contribute toward ambulatory curriculum lecture series
+ Opportunities for medical student education in conjunction with our newly established identity as a regional medical campus of the University of Massachusetts Chan School of Medicine
+ If desired, opportunities for inpatient care as attending on the internal medicine resident teaching service
+ Interested applicants can engage in clinical research and/or develop a clinical and academic focus area such as women’s health or perioperative medicine
+ Minimal call responsibilities typically 1 week night each month for telephone call and 1 Saturday or Sunday each quarter for coverage of urgent care
Requirements:
+ Board Certification or Eligibility in Internal Medicine
+ Eligibility for or current licensure in Massachusetts
+ Experience working with Advanced Practice Provider colleagues
