General Laborer 1st Shift - Phillips Staffing

Phillips Staffing is seeking individuals with manufacturing or warehouse experience to join the team at a leading packaging solutions company in Cowpens, SC!

Responsibilities:

• Feeding material into machines, stacking finished product, glue/assembly of paper products, banding pallets, and shrink wrapping for shipment. 
• Being flexible as this position requires assistance with all jobs or in all areas on the plant floor. 
• Ensuring that clean housekeeping procedures are followed. This includes blowing down the machine, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping machine or work area, and picking up miscellaneous scrap. 
• May be required to stack parts up to 50 lbs. 
• Standing required for periods of up to 12 hours.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures including Lock out / Tag out.
• Counting and stacking finished products. 
• Work overtime as required. 
• Report any safety hazards/concerns to Supervisor, Plant Manager, Safety Manager/HR Manager.  

Requirements:

• Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience. 
• Must be 18 years old. 
• Must be able to work as part of a team in support of production operation.
• Ability to show up to work on time ready to work. 
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled facility. 
• Ability to work overtime if needed. 
• Basic math skills
• Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16”
• Good attitude. 
• Able to work in a fast-paced work environment. 
• Ability to be flexible with job location (i.e. finishing area, machine room, etc.)
• Attention to detail and quality.

Shift Schedule: 1st Shift, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday – Friday with flexibility to work overtime if needed. 
Pay Rate: $14/Hour
