Join Our Team as a Skilled Sawmill Operator

Shift: Full-time position, Monday to Thursday from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, Friday from 6:00 am to 11:00 am

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate starting at $13.50 (Compensation will be commensurate with experience)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate sawmill machinery with precision to cut logs into rough and dimensional lumber
• Install, inspect, and maintain sawmill and planer equipment
• Use a variety of woodworking tools such as handheld routers, table saws, band saws, miter saws, and sanders as needed
• Provide training to machine operators and sawmill personnel
• Perform regular maintenance on mill equipment, identify issues proactively, and plan necessary repairs
• Efficiently handle loaders and forklifts to lift and load logs, cants, and boards onto trailers
• Ensure the quality of lumber products through comprehensive quality assurance procedures
• Properly stack and palletize materials according to company standards
• Conduct quality control assessments by grading lumber products
• Maintain a safe work environment by strictly following safety protocols, regulations, and using appropriate safety equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions promptly to reduce downtime
• Regularly clean and organize work areas in the sawmill for optimal efficiency
