About the Job
A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Material Handler.
Position Type: Full-time (Contract)
Duration: 3 months
Location: Chesapeake, VA
As a Material Handler you will:
- The client is seeking successful candidate to perform a wide variety of tasks relating to incoming and outgoing of equipment, parts, materials, and merchandise.
- Must be able to learn and execute the Logistics and Asset Management.
- The candidate assists with the packing, unpacking in accordance with established standards and procedures.
- Periodically involves some carpentry work along with lifting, movement and placement of heavy items by hand or with the assistance of material handling equipment (forklift, hand-truck or dolly).
Required Qualifications:
- Able to adhere to all company policies and safety procedures.
- Works with other team members to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Good communication skills to function in team environment.
- Performs an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.
- Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.
- Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
- Prepare and stage parcels for shipping or storage.
- Follow all safety policy and procedures while handling heavy items

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $15 - $17 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
