Starting Pay Rate: $16 an hour
Starting Pay Rate: $16 an hour
Shift Hours:
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:15 PM
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:15 AM
Job Overview
The Lee Group is seeking a group of dedicated and versatile production laborers to work for a reputable client in Virginia Beach, VA. The role requires flexibility and adaptability as you will be cross-trained to operate various machines and perform multiple tasks within the production environment.
Key Responsibilities of General Laborer:
- Operate different types of machinery, including extruder machines and molding machines.
- Perform quality control (QC) checks to ensure product measurements meet required specifications.
- Monitor and maintain the proper functioning of equipment that operates at high temperatures (up to 300 degrees).
- Operate forklifts and advanced crimping machines.
- Ensure that all products fit and are up to par with company standards.
- Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toed footwear.
Qualifications of General Laborer:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.
- Ability to work in a hot environment.
- Willingness to be cross-trained and work in various departments.
- Basic mechanical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift operation experience is a plus.
- Must be able to stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a hot environment.
