POSITIONOVERVIEW – General Manager of South Boston, MA Location: South Boston, MA Reporting to: Amanda Donnelly with bi-weekly with Steve Lo, monthly with the founder, Nadia Liu Spellman Dumpling Daughter is a high growth company searching for an entrepreneurial and creative restaurant manager for one of its three locations. This role requires a hard-working individual who may have a chef background or loves to be innovative in the kitchen. The Dumpling Daughter South Boston location focuses on late night food serving a young demographic exciting food as an alternative to pizza. A new style quick service takeout shop with no seats, a self-serve kiosk and small front of house, this is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to have the reins of a great concept and execute for success. The role requires a strong understanding of restaurant management and delicious late night food. The DNA of the manager will be in this location, this is a whole new concept where we are looking for a energetic and hungry manager with great taste in food. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Planning and organization of entire restaurant including operations, P&L management and people (scheduling). • Leading, Inspiring, staffing, developing, and coaching all team members in your restaurant. Committed to fostering a culture focused on the guest and team experience by following and implementing the Employee handbook. • Quality assurance and quality control of food and service • Work with team to execute caterings, pop-ups, and special events • Create and execute specials to keep loyal customers enthused • Work with social media content creator to create buzz and attract crowds late night • A seasoned recruiter: you love to source, interview and hire top talent. A role model who leads by example, provides feedback and embraces a coaching and teaching style. • Poised and confident, able to remain warm, friendly and engaged under all circumstances • Generate revenue using brand standards in order to hit revenue targets. • Prime cost management. • Ensure a clean, safe work environment, prepare the ‘stage’ for service everyday. • Build relationships with vendors, community and neighbors. QUALIFICATIONS • Preferred Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Business. • Min 2-3 years’ work experience in restaurant management is required. • Exceptional communications skills (verbal/written) • Food Handlers training preferred: ServSafe and Allergen Awareness • Must have flexible work schedule • Must be able to be on feet for extended periods of time and lift 30lbs at a time. • ABILITY TO WORKINDEPENDENTLY IN A DEMANDING, FAST-PACEDENVIRONMENT, THINKQUICKLY, COME UP WITHSOLUTIONSUNDERPRESSURE. • STRONGINTERPERSONALSKILLS, DEMONSTRATION OF EXCEPTIONALEMOTIONALINTELLIGENCE, THEABILITY TO DEVELOPRELATIONSHIPSACROSSALLLEVELS. • MAKESTAFFFEELVALUED, TEACHTHEUNIQUEMENUANDCONCEPT TO ALLSTAFF IN ORDER TO ENGAGEANDENCOURAGETHEM TO GROWWITH US. • Experienced in POS systems (Toast) and Google office • PASSIONATEABOUTFOODANDCUSTOMER SERVICE • Self-motivated, proactive and have an affinity for details • A remarkable, high caliber problem solver, results oriented • Conflict management and risk management of all team members.
