General Manager Building Materials - Gpac

We are seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to lead our team and oversee the operations of our branch. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building materials, particularly in lumber, trusses, and building components. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing overall branch sales, operations, and production activities, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and business performance.

General Manager-Base plus Bonus  

Opportunity for General Manager located in Minnesota not in Twin Cities Metro.  Relocation for General Manager may be required

Key Responsibilities for General Manager-

Lead and manage day-to-day operations, including sales, production, and customer service- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company goals and objectives- Oversee the procurement and inventory management of building materials- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and industry partners- Monitor and analyze market trends to identify new business opportunities- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations- Recruit, train, and mentor staff to promote a positive and productive work environment- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and profitability

Qualifications for General Manager- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a management role within the building materials industry, with a focus on lumber, trusses, and building components- Proven track record of success in sales and operations management- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-specific software
