About the Job
Our client is hiring a General Manager to be responsible for the day-to-day operations of their branch, with the primary goal of improving efficiency and increasing profits. This role reports to the Regional Vice President of Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assume full operational responsibility and oversee daily branch operations
- Drive financial (sales and EBITDA), operational, and quality metrics to achieve performance goals
- Develop and execute daily, weekly, and long-term work plans to meet and exceed goals.
- Implement change management strategies to enhance branch performance and KPIs
- Prepare business forecasts, budgets, and reports; conduct financial analysis to identify trends and address issues
- Maintain knowledge of competitors and innovate to maintain market lead
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory controls, including state licensing laws and regulations
- Adhere to and support company policies, procedures, and guidance
- Motivate, coach, and develop a unified team; uphold high standards and lead with clarity
- Promote a safe, accident-free, and healthy work environment
- Collaborate with marketing, accounting, human resources, and other Branch Service Center members
- Establish a performance-driven culture and understand how to drive P&L through critical metrics
- Develop and train standardized processes and KPIs to support growth
- Build strong followership within direct-line and matrixed teams
- Foster a culture of accountability and pride in delivering financial results
- Identify, recruit, develop, and motivate top performers and future leaders
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 12+ years of experience leading a fast-paced service organization with a proven track record of business growth; residential HVAC experience is a plus
- Ability to prioritize, plan, and adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain professionalism, executive presence, ethics, and a positive image
- Self-starter with the ability to motivate a team towards common goals
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to analyze cost and forecast data to align with branch goals
- Excellent analytical skills, financial acumen, and attention to detail
