Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our team at DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando East - UCF Area. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, including guest services, staff management, financial performance, and property maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in the hospitality industry and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Direction: Provide leadership and direction to all hotel departments, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, sales, and maintenance.
- Guest Service: Ensure the highest standards of guest service are maintained throughout the hotel.
- Revenue Maximization: Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and profitability, including sales and marketing initiatives, cost control measures, and revenue management strategies.
- Staff Management: Hire, train, and mentor staff to ensure a high level of performance and employee satisfaction.
- Property Maintenance: Oversee property maintenance and ensure that the hotel is well-maintained and in compliance with all safety and cleanliness standards.
- Team Culture: Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and professional growth.
- Vendor & Supplier Management: Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other external partners.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving financial targets.
- Thorough understanding of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and sales.
- Knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
