QuietKat focuses on e-bikes tailored for backcountry hunters and anglers, and we are seeking a General Manager to join our team. As the General Manager of E-Mobility / QuietKat , your role will involve overseeing all facets of the company's operations, with a focus on strategic planning, enhancing brand visibility, fostering growth, increasing profitability, and maximizing return on investment.
As a business leader, you will provide clear and inspirational guidance to your team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and purpose. You will be responsible for transforming QuietKat’s vision of enabling access to the rugged outdoors into actionable strategies and leading your team toward achieving long-term growth objectives across brand, product, geographies, channels, and customers.
This position reports to the President and is based out of our Adventure Sports platform headquarters in Irvine, CA.
As the General Manager, you will have an opportunity to:
+ Electrification and E-Mobility Vision: Develop a long-term vision for electrification across recreation and utility.
+ Brand and Product Strategy: Develop, refine, and execute a comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with the company’s overall goals and long-range strategic initiatives. The individual will be responsible for planning and executing the overall Sales, Marketing, and product strategies to grow and develop the brand roadmap. Maintain and enhance the brands image and identity, ensuring consistency in messaging, design, and customer experience.
+ Product Development and Positioning: Oversee the development and management of the brand specific products, ensuring they meet market demands and are consistent with the brand identity. Collaborate with product development teams to ensure that products meet the market demands and are positioned effectively.
+ Marketing Strategy and Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive market strategy to drive revenue growth and market share expansion. Create and manage the execution of a growth acceleration plan for global direct, DTC, Mass, and Specialty channels.
+ Marketing and Promotion: Plan and implement marketing and advertising campaigns to promote the brand, including digital marketing, advertising, public relations, and social media strategies.
+ Market Research: Demonstrated working knowledge of real time marketplaces (supply and demand economics, and the ability to navigate, decode and use that to build compelling narratives.
+ Financial Management: Manage the budget and financial performance of the brand, monitoring revenue expenses, and profitability, working in collaboration and partnership with the Adventure Group CFO.
+ Sales and Distribution: Expand the D2C business model. Collaborate with sales teams to drive brand sales and expand market share. Establish and maintain relationships with key retailers and distributors.
+ Team Leadership: Attract and develop top-tier talent while cultivating a high-performing, values driven culture backed by regular feedback, clear accountability, and proactive performance management.
+ Performance Analysis: Continuously analyze the brand performance with metrics and market data to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth. Be the operational expert, owing end to end improvements and influencing innovative solutions.
+ Compliance and Legal Matters: Ensure the brand complies with all relevant laws and regulations, including trademark and intellectual property issues.
+ Risk Management: Identify potential risks to the brand and develop strategies to mitigate them. Establish contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
+ Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products, ensuring a successful market introduction. Work closely with the executive team to provide regular updates on business performance, market trends, and strategic opportunities.
+ Customer / Partner Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and partners to ensure business growth and customer satisfaction.
You have:
+ 10+ years of experience within an operation, selling or equivalent role, working in a highly cross functional management role that has owned a P&L.
+ BA/BS Degree in Business and/or Marketing.
+ Experience in general management coupled with significant leadership positions in brand management.
+ Demonstrable P&L experience managing both the top line and the bottom line, while successfully executing long-range growth strategies and development.
+ A general management mindset with an ability to marshal all the functional expertise of an organization to successfully grow sales and drive financial performance and results.
+ Strong analytical skills where you can analyze data from the field and customers, identify trends and opportunities, and generate innovative solutions that span all areas of the organization.
+ Excellent communication that enables you to interact with various internal and customer groups effectively and serve as a competent representative in the market.
+ Deep understanding of digital commerce and its impact on a consumer products manufacturer and its e-commerce platform. They should also have a thorough understanding of omnichannel business operations to enhance each brand's market approach in a worldwide context.
+ In this industry, both consumers and retailers are deeply passionate about their sport. Therefore, a successful candidate must possess or be willing to cultivate a passion for sports that aligns with the biking industry.
