General Manager, Product [Financial Services]

We're seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our Financial Services vertical. This dynamic role demands a deep understanding of both commercial and retail financial processes, coupled with exceptional product management expertise and a proven track record in the FinTech industry. You'll be responsible for crafting the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our comprehensive financial solutions, driving product development, and leading our go-to-market initiatives across all segments.
What You'll Do:
- Financial Services Expertise: Leverage your 10+ years of experience in the FinTech space, wielding a comprehensive understanding of commercial lending and retail financial services. Stay ahead of the curve on industry trends, regulations, and the competitive landscape to inform insightful product strategy and development.
- Product Visionary: Define and eloquently communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our financial solutions, encompassing both commercial and retail offerings.
- Technical Product Management Master: Draft detailed product requirements and specifications that bring your vision to life. Collaborate seamlessly with engineering, design, and cross-functional teams to drive product development and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions. Utilize data and user feedback to continuously refine product offerings and foster innovation.
- Product Marketing Powerhouse: Develop and execute winning product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategies. Craft compelling client-facing collateral, including presentations, brochures, and case studies, to fuel sales and marketing efforts. Lead product launches and go-to-market (GTM) activities for both commercial and retail segments, ensuring successful adoption and market penetration.
- Incubation Innovator: Possess a strong track record of taking products from concept to reality (0 to 1). Secure early lighthouse clients, drive initial product adoption, and work closely with them to gather invaluable feedback. Utilize this feedback to iterate on product features, ensuring the solution surpasses market needs.
- Relationship Architect: Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization and with key players in the financial services industry, fostering long-term partnerships and trust.
- Industry Influencer: Maintain a robust network of connections at the CXO and Divisional Leader levels within the financial services industry. Leverage these relationships to gain valuable insights, identify market opportunities, and drive business development efforts. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums to bolster brand visibility and establish thought leadership.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- 15+ years of product management experience with a minimum of 10 years focused on the financial services industry, specifically in commercial lending or related areas.
- Proven track record in product management, with a history of successfully drafting requirements, setting vision and strategy, and managing product development processes.
- Keen understanding of product marketing, including positioning, packaging, pricing, and go-to-market strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and cultivate industry connections at the executive level.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
