GENERAL MANAGER - UPSCALE RESTAURANT

General Manager Qualifications:
- At least 5 years as a restaurant general manager for a high volume, fine dining or upscale casual restaurant concept. Prefer seasoned and well trained candidates from premier, high-volume steakhouses or large upscale restaurants and highly successful operations
- High-volume management experience (minimum $6MM +).
- Recent experience operating in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida market is a plus
- Strong financial acumen; P&L, food, beverage, labor cost.
- Exceptional leadership skills; fosters a healthy team culture; eager to mentor and train the team to advance to the next level
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, customer service, beverage, health and sanitation requirements
- A strong, entrepreneurial operator with proven results in sales, marketing and leadership
- Passion for fresh, fine food and beverage; beverage/wine knowledge is a plus
General Manager Duties and Responsibilities: including but not limited to:
- Has the financial and business acumen to deliver strong results for the restaurant and company; P&L; food and labor cost; sales, budgets, cost of goods, and labor, etc.
- Deliver and execute strategic planning goals and upholding the highest standards in product, profit, environment and experience.
- Entrepreneurial and builds sales opportunities and positive guest experiences
- Committed to healthy cuisine, a health conscious lifestyle and healthy team environment
- Must have a strong leadership background, excellent organizational and communication skills; proven ability to lead, motivate, train and develop their team; hands on management style and leads by example
- Champion of superior service to Guests; sets a superior example of strong service delivery and advocacy with the team
- Strong relationship building and management; experience with attending to high-end clientele; able to handle and resolve guest issues with ease
- Oversight of Catering, Special Events and Entertainment
- Ability to schedule, direct, coordinate and implement policies and procedures
- Should be personable, charismatic, energetic, approachable, positive, outgoing, warm and hospitable
- Computer Savvy; Experienced with POS and other systems
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
- Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler and Alcohol Server/Seller permits.
