GENERAL MANAGER IN BUILDING MATERIALS
The General Manager is charged with managing the day-to-day and strategic planning. This integral member of the Senior Leadership team must be well versed in sales, operations, and management. They are responsible for driving company culture and values with all members of the team, empowering them to maximize performance and efficiency, while maintaining our unmatched service quality. Strong verbal and written communication skills will be necessary to lead and hold team members accountable.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Lead, Manage and hold department accountabilities
- Develop and execute business plan - Sales and GM dollars to budget, capital expenditure planning and management
- Inventory Management - Inventory turns, cycle counts, replenishment
- Operations - Equipment and labor cost controls, truck turnaround time, equipment utilization, and care and keeping of company facilities
- Safety - Promoting a Safety Culture

The ideal General Manager is a big-picture thinker with strong business acumen and leadership experience managing multiple areas of a company. The successful candidate has a background in lean principles and is ready to serve as the location leader.
Must have experience in one or more of the following: building materials, lumber yard, residential building outside sales
