We are seeking a hard-working, self-motivated, and highly energic individual to join our fast-paced and fun full-service restaurant environment as the new General Manager.
This position will demand creativity daily, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain the highest level of standards. The General Manager must work well under pressure, be organized, flexible, reliable, and willing to work long hours.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make final decisions on matters of importance to guest service.
- Manage overall operations in the restaurant. You must communicate clearly and regularly with the kitchen and the floor
- Manage shifts which include daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness.
- Hold regular pre-shifts with the staff for both AM/PM shifts, update menus on paper as well as digitally, manage FOH schedule
- Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues. Interview hourly employees. Direct hiring, supervision, development and, when necessary, termination of employees.
- Take deposits to the bank in a timely fashion.
- Manage any service issues, guest-related problems.
- Purchasing, inventory control, budgeting, maintaining costs, controlling labor, scheduling, ensuring safety and sanitation.
- Ensure service and or culinary excellence.
- Ensure excellent guest experience.
- Ensure that proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests, and company assets.
Qualifications and Skills:
- At least two-plus years of Restaurant Management in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant environment.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible to work in the United States.
- Pleasant, polite manner and a neat clean appearance. Ability to motivate employees to work as a team to ensure that food and service meet appropriate standards. Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
- Knowledge of POS software a plus but not required.
- Must be able to pass a full background check upon request.
- Hours may vary if the manager must fill in for his/her employees or if emergencies arise (typical work week = 50 hours)
- Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing up to 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion. Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operate phones, computers, fax machine, copiers, and other office equipment.
