General Manager - Arizona Zipline Adventures

About the Job
The General Manager is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations at Arizona Zipline Adventures. This includes course maintenance, inspections, hiring, guide training, scheduling, staff management, reservation management, marketing, and general site upkeep. The General Manager ensures the success of Arizona Zipline Adventures by ensuring a high level of safety, well-trained team members, and positive engagement between team members and guests.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Operations
• Foster and lead a culture of professionalism, teamwork, quality, and fun
• Oversite of day-to-day operations
• Ability to act as manager on duty, reservationist, guide, or prep cook for daily operations (depending on daily staffing needs)
• Can respond to day-of scheduling matters, any inclement weather decisions, any guest complaints, and staff needs
• Helps maintain a clean and organized facility
• Manage reservation system and tour inventory availability
• Responds to guest needs
Training/Management
• Assists and/or leads staff training on all day-to-day operations and rescues
• Lead and develop team of 5-20 staff
• Manage the schedule ensuring staffing levels are appropriate daily in a way that is efficient and economical
Inspections and Maintenance:
• Help manage and perform a regular maintenance schedule
• Maintain equipment inventory records as needed
• Manage and perform as needed:
o Course maintenance and general upkeep
o Vehicle maintenance and general upkeep
o Infrastructure maintenance (building, landscape) and general upkeep
Marketing/Community:
• Support marketing initiatives
• Be the face of AZ Zipline Adventures for local community events and business functions
Qualifications
• 2 years of experience in tourism/service industry or similar
• 1 year of experience in management
• Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Excel, Word, and Google
• Risk management and experience working at height
Compensation Details
• Full Time, year-round employment
• $18-$22/hr. depending on experience
• Hourly employee, non-exempt
• 40 hours/week. Must have a flexible schedule with full availability on the weekends and all holidays. Work hours may be variable.
